Nahal’s first encounter with the botanical world came through her dear friend Haleh, a young biologist whose dedication to Iran’s endemic plants made a profound impression. Under the influence of both Haleh and another friend, Pantea, Nahal became deeply mesmerised by the diversity and quiet poetry of these plants. Although Haleh passed away at a young age, she left behind a valuable herbarium collection, which was later organised and digitised. Drawing on her dual training as an architect and visual artist, Nahal seeks to bring the silent voices of these plants into the human realm. Herbal Echoes is her translation of those quiet forms and energies into a visual-and-sensory experience—inviting visitors into a renewed encounter with Persian flora.Along with her studies on neuroscience in perceiving the built environment , lead her to design this exhibition as a multisensory experience of space.
