Be A Part of Supporting Our
2027 Programs:

  • The Cultural Practice Lab, a cohort-based cultural support services program that strengthens the careers, sustainability, and quality of life of individual cultural practitioners in King County. The Lab will provide two integrated tracks—Arts Administration (arts professionals) and Businessof Art (artists)—delivering practical skills, peer networks, and paid participation supports.

  • Queer Futures: Georgetown Artist Recognition Grants “Fueling sustainable creative futures for LGBTQIA2S+ BIPOC artists.”

  • A 5yr arts facilities project to serve our long-term cultural stewardship commitment: a permanent, accessible, community rooted arts hub that expands paid opportunity for underrepresented artists and increases cultural access in the Duwamish cultural corridor.

  • This not to mention the expansive free exhibitions, events, artist symposiums, etc. we have lined up…

"The galleries that survive this moment will define what gets remembered."

- Otto Chan | Brd President

They're erasing histories. We're exhibiting them. Federal and state arts funding has been demolished. Grants that kept independent galleries, community programs, and artist livelihoods afloat — gone.

SlipStitch a 501(c)(3) arts organization and post contemporary art gallery in Seattle centering AANHPI, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and underrepresented artists with paid opportunities. SlipStitch is not just wall space, but real contracts, real compensation, real careers, but we can't do it on willpower alone.

Right now, our funding comes from two places: individual donors like you and local city support. That's it. Everything else was stripped away.

We’re raising money to make a difference and further our cause. To meet new challenges, we’ve set up this campaign with a goal of $25,000. This isn't charity. This is cultural infrastructure.

When the people in power decided these voices don't matter, you get to decide

they're wrong.

We acknowledge that the city of Seattle and its green spaces are situated on the traditional Coast Salish territory, specifically the ancestral lands of the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Muckleshoot Peoples. We recognize the stewardship of Seattle’s green spaces by the Coast Salish people since time immemorial, the disruption of this work by colonization, and now endeavor to continue this work.
