He is a Seattle-based artist known for his multidisciplinary approach, working in sculpture, painting, and mixed media. With a career spanning over three decades, Rock explores themes of transformation, nature, and human impact on the environment. His work often repurposes everyday materials, combining abstraction and realism to create visually engaging and thought-provoking pieces. Rock’s art has been exhibited throughout the Pacific Northwest, contributing to the region’s contemporary art dialogue.

"By exploring the shapes and forms found in nature and combining them with elements from the virtual world, this new work provides endless narratives to blend my traditional artmaking skills with new digital possibilities visually."

We acknowledge that the city of Seattle and its green spaces are situated on the traditional Coast Salish territory, specifically the ancestral lands of the Duwamish, Suquamish, Stillaguamish, and Muckleshoot Peoples. We recognize the stewardship of Seattle’s green spaces by the Coast Salish people since time immemorial, the disruption of this work by colonization, and now endeavor to continue this work.
